Flanders Make is the strategic research centre for the manufacturing industry. We have establishments in Lommel and Leuven and work together in a structural way with research departments of the 5 Flemish universities. Our purpose? Realising a top-level research network in Flanders that delivers full support to the research requirements and innovation projects of manufacturing companies. In this way, we want to contribute to new products and processes that help to realise the vehicles, machines and plants of the future.
Flanders Make wants to support the Flemish manufacturing industry so as to increase its international competitive strength. Today, tomorrow and in the long term. By doing so, we can keep companies in Flanders and at the same time attract foreign businesses.
We support both SMEs and large companies that are active in the manufacturing industry with industry-driven, pre-competitive and excellent research in the field of mechatronics, methods for developing products and technology for manufacturing them. In this regard, product, process and knowledge development are inextricably linked to one another.
The result of this support? Concrete product and process innovations in vehicle industry, mechanical engineering and production environments. Not only for the companies with which we work closely together, but also for other manufacturing companies that face similar technological challenges. They as well benefit from these breakthroughs. In short, we join forces to innovate better and faster.
Flanders Make also attaches great importance to international cooperation in the field of innovation and participates in European research projects.
